Arm protector for sportsmen - foam-filled sleeve glove with open palms and fastening bands

The protective arm cover designed to be worn by a sportsman to protect his hand, thumb, wrist, arm and elbow, has an outer lining of plastics of other suitable hardwearing material enclosing a soft resilient foam material (12) and is like a glove which can be easily put on or taken off, with fastening means for attaching it to the arm. The parts (16, 17) enclosing the wrist and arm can be a cylindrical cast member whilst the part (18) protecting the hand covers the back of the hand and fingers and thumb and can be held secure by a rotatable tubular member (48) held by bands (52) whilst a further band (36) holds the cover firmly round the thumb (34). The lightweight protective cover in no way restricts the freedom of movement of the arm.
