The leaf spring suspension includes auxiliary springs and is for the suspension of leaf springs in rail vehicles. It has loose ring-shaped shackles between the spring eye of the leaf spring and a spring carrier fastened to the vehicle chassis. The shackles are pivoted on surfaces of shackle blocks, held on the spring eye. Each shackle block consists of an inner section, held swivelably on the spring eye w.r.t. the spring carrier. An external section carries the contact surface for the shackle. An additional spring is located between the sections. The outer sections are guided relative to the inner ones by pegs, serving as stops to limit the path of the additional springs.
