Control of dosage rate in mixing process - using processor to determine moisture content or temp. of base material and valve for addition of water or steam

A control device regulates the dosage rate in a mixing process. It is designed for reliable and precise dosing yet with simple means and short dosing time. A measurement device is used to determine the quantity present of additional material to be mixed. This is compared with a desired quantity and the result used to control a dosing device. The measurement device may measure moisture content or temp. of the base material, and the dosing device contains a valve for the addition of water or steam as the situation warrants. A processor is used to determined quantity of material to be added in order to achieve the desired moisture or temp. level.
