Stress-transmitting lining of hollowed-out spaces in mines - is vault structure of yielding, overlapping channel-type segments

Installation for constructing a stress-transmitting and -compensating connection for introducing the stresses exerted by a mountain or rock mass upon the working in (coal) mines, is a yielding vault structure consisting of overlapping segments having a channel profile. A supporting hose is provided which is fitted into the channel profile. This hose is made of textile material, water-permeable, can be filled with a rapidly hardening filler, using a pump, and has, for this purpose, a filling tube at one end. The filling tube consists of a pipe fitted into the end of the hose and has a re-usable coupling whose dia is some-what smaller than that of the hose. The latter is arranged near the segment connections within the channel profile. below any brackets, clamps or the like that engage and surrounds the profiles. The textile of which the hose is made, is woven from synthetic, endless, esp. polyethylene therephthalate, yarn. Used for filling a mined-out space between working and mountain, with load-bearing material.
