The brake rate indicator eliminates subjective evaluation of the vehicle deceleration, the display offering a warning signal to other users of the road. The pedal is pivoted together with an arm which carries a slider at the free end. The slider moves over contacts and is connected to the car battery by the flexible cable. The contacts are connected to signal lamps at the rear of the vehicle by conductors. The shift of the brake pedal is represented by a correspondingly long line of illuminated lamp to warm other traffic.
