The device is for movable attachment of stirrups, or other force arresters, on a wire cable, as on a ski-lift or similar transport system. There is a sleeve socket (3) force-locked to the cable (1), with its ends over-lapped by truncated conical sockets (4, 5) on both sides. These are firmly connected to the cable, and have sheathing surfaces which taper down to the size of the cable dia. Between these latter sockets there is a sliding socket (7), encompassing the first socket, rotatably mounted and with the force arrester (8, 9) attached to it. This prevents breakage of the cable at the clamp position, caused by deflection over pulleys.
