Broadband coupler for particle accelerator resonator - has tube with radial conductors forming capacitor attenuating higher harmonics

The broadband coupler, for a particle accelerator's resonator, heavily attenuates higher harmonics by over-critical damping. A hole (2) is located in the wall (1) of the resonator through which the magnetic field in the resonator can penetrate. The hole leads to a tube (3) which has conductors (6, 7) on its inner surface lying in the plane of the displacement current lines (G). The conductors partly overlap to form a capacitor. A coaxial line (5) is connected to the tube.
