Fluorescent lamp fitting with guide pins for engagement - has locking device and externally fitted collar with captive cylinder

A fitting for a fluorescent lamp consists of a housing with a circular hole in the wall facing the lamp. There are guide-pins along the edges of the hole and the contact pins of the lamp are engaged by turning. Electrical connection is made via contact spring elements which extend partly into a section of the hole. They are pressed against the contact pins on the lamp. The housing (10) contains a locking device (23) and an externally fitted collar. The collar contains a captive rotatable cylindrical element which can lock in a recess (21). The element is supported on sections of the guide-pins of the housing.
