The eccentric worm pump has a hollow (6) helically profilated stator (21) containing a helically profilated rotor, where the helically curved profiles of stator and rotor are subdivided into a number of equal-width stepped surfaces of individual pump stages which are angularly offset relative to one another. In the individual stages interchangeable intermediate members are arranged between stator and rotor and movable relative. The individual pump stages can modify the track (25) in which the members move. The stator stages consist of separate stator discs (21) which may contain oblong guide rings (25) in a low-friction wear-resistant material, capable of being deformed from outside by an adjuster (28).
