摘要
An impregnated composite metal is made of W, Ag, and Cu esp. for use as contacts in energy technology, where a powder mixt. of W, Ag and Cu is sintered to form a skeleton. The skeleton is then impregnated with an Ag-Cu alloy contg. the same wt. ratio of Ag:Cu as the ratio of Ag-Cu in the skeleton. The powder mixt. pref. contains max. 50% of the Ag and Cu in the finished composite; and the skeleton and/or the impregnant may contain a component to assist wetting, e.g. Fe, Ni or Co. The impregnated composite has a uniform structure, leading to reduced burn-off of the electric contact surfaces as compared with conventional materials.
