摘要
Hydrogen sulphide is removed from a gas by passing the H2S-contg. through an absorbing soln. contg. 50g/l of sulphuric acid, copper sulphate and ferric sulphate. The H2S absorbed is recovered as sulphur. The recovery is carried out by heating the soln. under pressurised O2 at 120 degrees C and molten sulphur, copper sulphate and ferric sulphate are recovered. Pref. the recovery is effected in the presence of =50ppm HNO3, nitrate and/or a nitrite as catalysts. The technique is suitable for treating gas mixts, contg. small amts. of H2S. The presence of CO2 in the gas mixt. does not interfere with the absorption of H2S.
