Safety fuse cord with black powder core - eliminates the need to prepare granular black powder

Manufacture of a safety fuse cord with a combustible powder core by prepg. slurry, pref. or paste-like consistency, from the components of the powder and a liq. medium, bringing the slurry into an elongated body of e.g. rod-shaped form, feeding the elongated body at a suitable speed to a spinner, forming a covering sheath round the elongated body, covering the sheath by spinning in the reverse direction to form a semi-finished fuse core, removing the liq. medium from this and finishing in known manner to a safety fuse cord with a combustible powder core.
