X-ray apparatus with tilting couch for babies - has trough clamped at foot to intermediate tilting support

The patient couch can tilt about its lengthwise axis, and the apparatus is for the examination of babies, with an elastic trough which can be folded round the baby and which is of material largely transparent to X-rays. The trough (13) can be clamped at the foot end in an intermediate support (11) fitting in rotary bearing (9). The bearing spindle (10) is parallel to the lengthwise axis of the trough, and it is mounted on the table frame (2). The trough can be held in place at a point approximately 20cm from its edge at the foot by a system of guides and a strap (27) running round it. The edge fits in mating portions of the intermediate support.
