Container to protect contents against fire - consists of inner and outer casing made of non-inflammable and thermally insulating materials

The container consists of inner and outer casings, each with its lid. (2, 3, 17, 22). The inner and outer cases are held apart by spacers (13) so forming a separating layer of air. The top cover has two holes plugged by a metal with a low melting point. The whole assembly stands on supports (4) and cross-pieces (30) with grooves (31) are provided on top so that containers can be piled on top of each other. The inner and outer casings are made of composite layers of non-inflammable and thermally isolating materials, fibres or compressed powder, with reflective metallic coverings. There is a seal between the outer casing and its lid.
