Motor cycle boot with high strength at low cost - with shock resistant high density polyethylene shin guard

Motor cycle boot comprises a shin guard at the front of the upper forming the top part of the boot. Pref. in successive layers beneath the upper are the shin guard, a sheet of vinyl foam and a reinforcing lining. The shin guard may be shaped to the front contour of the leg, this contour being maintained during prodn. of the boot in order to conserve it for the whole of its period of usage. The shin guard is pref. of semi-rigid, waterproof material which is highly resistant to shock and deformation, pref. high-density polyethylene. The sheet of vinyl foam pref. has a thickness of approx. 3 mm. The boot protects the wearer in case of an impact or fall, and has high strength for a low cost.
