Photographic material comprises a support, a first light sensitive system comprising =1 layer of a light sensitive silver halide emulsion contg. =1 colour coupler which reacts with the oxidn. prods. of an aromatic prim. amine silver halide developer to give a dye of which the main absorption coincides with the spectral region to which the emulsion is sensitive, and a second light sensitive system comprising a silver halide emulsion which is sensitive to part or whole of the spectral region to which the first system is sensitive, and which contains =1 colour coupler which reacts with the oxidn. prods. of the developer to give a colour or a mixt. of colours. The second light sensitive system (a) must not produce a visually neutral gey in the absence of the first light sensitive system when exposed under normal conditions and printed on a standard colour printing material, and (b) must produce a visually neutral grey in association with the first system when printed onto a standard colour printing material. The films give good colour rendition, fine grain, and good tonal range coupled with increased speed.
