Salt licking blocks, contg. magnesium, for livestock - also contg. sugar(s) to maximise assimilation of magnesium

A licking block for livestock which contains =5 wt.% Mg also contains =1 of saccharose, fructose, glucose, lactose, maltose and starch. Pref. amt. of sugar(s) is =10 wt.%, the sugars) being in the form of molasses or molasses syrup. Pref. Mg is present as MgO and/or Mg(OH)2. Block is used as mineral supplement. Digestibility and Mg assimilation are maximised by the use of the sugar(s) and the hardness of the block is acceptable.
