Amino-acylamino-methyl-diphenyl-cyclopropanes - used as cardiovascular agents, esp. cardiac vasodilators

Cyclopropane derivs. of formula (I) and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addn. salts are new. (n = 1,2 or 3; R1 and R2 are each lower alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, or together complete piperidino, morpholino, piperazino or N-lower alkyl-piperazino; and lower means 1-4C, opt. branched). They are prepd. from 1-aminomethyl-2-2,-diphenylcyclopropane by sequential reaction with X,CO,(CH2)nX and R1R2NH (X is Cl or Br). (I) have cardiovascular activity; they esp. dilate the coronary arteries. They are useful in treating angina pectons e.g. as 50-200 mg capsules or 100 mg ampoules for injection. Specific (I) is 1-(diethylaminoacetamidomethyl)-2,2-diphenylcyclopropane.
