The document filing system is used. The file which houses the documents has a mechanism which includes members passing through holes made along one edge of each document. It uses an adhesive strip which is attached to the edge of each document, so that it is not necessary to make holes in the documents themselves. Each strip has part of its width adhesive coated, and the holes are made through the other half. The perforated edge can be doubled to increase its strength. If the strip is transparent, writing or printing near the edge can still be read.
