The mobile maintenance unit to service a line of open-end spinning stations is equipped to open the housings and insert cleaning tools into the spinning chambers. Sprung members are used to connect the cleaning tools with the drive. During the cleaning operation, the cleaning tools are adjustable in a radial direction to the rotary axis. The design ensures that sufficient pressure can be applied to the cleaning tools to bear against the inner walls of the spinning chamber without damaging the rotor.
