The device for rearing shell-fish, partic. oysters comprises supports for clusters of shell-fish, each support comprising separable rot-proof light plates (1) or cylinders or polygonal prisms on which the new born shell-fish are fixed by cement. The supports are threaded onto a rustless plastics filament (3) with the interposition of rot-proof spacers (4) or guides. Each plate may be circular or polygonal and formed of rustless and rot-proof material, such as polyvinylchloride. Each plate has holes (7) or roughnesses or projections at its corners for retaining the cement. Where each support comprises cylinders or polygonal prisms, they are centred on the filament by shouldered washers engaging in the ends of the cylinders or prisms.
