The tile has a top and lengthwise edge which are overlapped by other, adjacent tiles. At least one of the corners of the tile situated at the ends obliquely opposite these two sides has a cut out section. The other corner of a tile from an adjacent row above or below it fits into the cutout section. The lengthwise and bottom sides of the tile connecting directly form a corner piece between them with a side rim. The side rim is positioned in an extension of a ridge which goes along the side of a lengthwise side to the top edge. The tile has a decompression groove along the lengthwise side, which emerges into an oblique groove.
