Aluminium (N)-acetylamino-6-hexanoate - for prevention and treatment of pneumoconiosis esp. silicosis

The aluminium slat of N-acetylamino-6-hexanoic acid (I) is new. Used for prevention and treatment of pneumoconioses, esp. silicosis but also anthracosis, siderosis and asbestosis. It may also be used to correct disordered cicatrisation. Cpd. has greater activity than known Al cpds. (I) may be given orally as a soln., or topically, or as a spray. In an example N-acetylamino-6-hexanoic acid was treated with Ba(OH)2.8H2O, adjusted to pH 12, then Al2(SO4)3.18H2O added. The ppte. was filtered off and the filtrate clarified and purified.
