Bakery dough proving cabinet with horizontal conveyor shelves - stopped for operator to load and discharge in turn at convenient height

The shelves are pivotally suspended from transverse axes extending between a pair of carrier chains, each following a path turning through four right angles in a vertical plane. The cabinet housing the shelf conveyor assembly is rectangular in horizontal cross-section. The top of the cabinet is cut away in a horizontal step parallel to the transverse axes. This is done to allow each shelf in turn to appear for ready access at the step, here to be loaded/discharged at a convenient working height for an operator. The top of the cabinet provides a supporting base for a dough piece moulding machine. A hand-wheel to turn the conveyor is pref. provided on a shaft extension of one of the top chain sprockets. In addn. to the hand wheel,a motor drive is pref. provided and a limit switch positioned to stop each shelf in turn at the loading/discharging level. The construction is partic. compact to suit confined spaces in bakeries. The cabinet is inexpensive and operating and maintenance costs are low.
