Dishwasher with water level regulator - has electrodes in vessel outside wash container to reduce water consumption

The dishwasher contains a drainage trough (2) in the base of the wash container (1) which has a sieve (7, 8, 10) and a connecting pipe (3) for the circulating and emptying pump (4) and a level regulating device containing electrodes (12, 13) which are located in a small-volumed vessel (11) set outside the wash container at the normal and safety level (15, 16). The vessel (11) is connected to the wash container by a branch pipe (17) which is connected offset to the connecting pipe (3) of the circulating pump (4) in the drainage trough (2) whilst a ventilation opening (19) is provided at the top of the vessel (11). Since the electrodes (12, 13) are located outside the wash container, they are separated from the circulation system and owing to the branch pipe, the level regulating system functions properly even with a low water level in the wash container.
