The device comprises three interlocking parts and is for holding cloth, canvas plaster sheets etc. The parts are profiled and made e.g. from plastics. A sheath provides rigidity and a peg has an outside profile which matches the sheath. The peg is shaped to receive a plug. When used, the sheet is placed over the sheath, the peg is pressed over the sheet so that the sheet is clamped between the peg and the sheath. The unit is locked by pressing the plug into the peg so that the peg and sheath grip the sheet. A number of units may be locked together and mounting lugs are provided on the sheath.
