Gas purifier, esp. for diesel engine exhaust gases - incorporates washer, decantation tank and wash-liquor treatment chamber, forming autonomous closed circuit unit

Plant consists of a washer-purifier, a tank and a wash-liquor treatment chamber. The washer purifier uses centrifugal effects and forced contact between the gas and droplets of reactive liq. It can be the purifier described in Fr 7304376 of 7-2-73. The tank contains water or another liq. which can produce a desired chemical reaction with the gaseous effluent. It is arranged for decantation of the wash-liquor and is fitted with a pump which feeds atomising nozzles in the purifier. The wash-liquor treatment chamber is associated with the tank and is put into a operation automatically by the development of appropriate chemical characteristics e.g. pH value, in the wash-liquor. The plant combines purificn. by dry route and wet route, storage and decantation of liq. and treatment of liq., forming an autononomous unit easy to use. Existing plants do not incorporate such a complete cycle.
