The teaching device, for training keyboard operators, uses a visual representation of the keyboard, with the keys colour coded in dependence on which finger is used to actuate them. The same keyboard is represented via an electric display with the different keys to be actuated during a given exercise illuminated in sequence. Pref. a magnetic support holds one of several alternative keyboard representation sheets, with the keys denoted solely by their colour coding, solely by their positions etc., each sheet having a metallised rear surface, so that it is adhered to the support by magnetic attraction.
