PURPOSE:The captioned cast iron having high impact vlues and elongation and improved mechanical properties such as tensile strength, yield strength, hardness, etc. composed of the specific composition containing C, Si, Mn, P, Si, Ni and the rest Fe and unavoidable impurities. COMPOSITION:This ductile cast iron has the composition comprising in wt%, C; 3.0 to 3.8%, Si; 2.20 to 2.60%, Mn; = 0.30%, P; = 0.04%, S; = 0.05%, Ni; 0.5 to 2.0%, Fe and unavoidable impurities; the rest. EFFECT:This cast iron is the ductile cast iron of ferrite structure which has high impact resistances of above 1.7kg f-m/cm2 at -15 deg.C and is superior in mechanical properties such as tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, hardness, etc. Its production is easy as well.
