TESTING TEMPERATURE RISE IN DRY TYPE TRANSFORMER

PURPOSE:To make the promotion of reducing a quantity of the power dissipated for testing a temperature rise, by firstly supplying only a power of iron loss from secondary side of the dry type transformer thereto, at a prescribed time interval thereafter by supplying a power of copper loss until saturated. CONSTITUTION:From a secondary side of the dry type transformer, only a power of copper loss is firstly supplied, due to a reason that period of 16 to 17 hours be required for the core to be saturated, the supply of a power of copper loss from a primary side, at a time interval of about 10 hours thereafter, will be operated until saturated. The testing of a dry type air-cooled transformer must be operated under the same condition as in the act of remotely testing work, and the measurement will be processed in such four points as an air intake port 11, an air outlet port 12, a dial type temperature gage sensing unit 13 and a top part of the core 14 in a cubicle 10. In such operation, as compared with a method in the same kind of testing as usually processed, the quantity of power dissipated can be reduced to roughly about 50%.
