PURPOSE:The composite material provided with superior resisting properties against impact and wear, prepared by casting the molten iron of the hypereutectoid white pig iron, containing a specified quantity of C, Cr and the carbide-producing-element, onto the steel plate in which are installed the studs. CONSTITUTION:The hypereutectois white pig iron 5 contains 4.3-6% C, 15-35% Cr, and the carbide-producing-element (for instancd, Mo, Mn, W, V, etc.); the molten iron of this hypereutectoid white pig iron 5 is cast onto the steel plate 1 in which the studs 2 are previously installed; hereby, both materials 1 and 5 are adhered to each other forming one body. The composite material obtained by this constitution has a good toughness and superior wear-resisting property.
