Tris-(phosphonoalkyl) amines - as inhibitors of anomalous deposition and mobilisation of calcium phosphate

Anomalous deposition and mobilisation of calcium phosphate in animal tissues is inhibited by treatment with compsns. contg. cpds. of formula: or their salts (where R1-6 are each H or lower alkyl). Method is useful for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis, arthritis, Paget's disease, urolithiasis and arteriosclerosis in man and animals. The compsns. may be given orally or parenterally. Unit dosage forms contg. 15-1,000 mg are claimed.
