Absorption refrigeration circuit has a high pressure section contg. condenser and a boiler and a low pressure section containing an evaporator and absorber. Both sections can be isolated from each other by means of separation values. The high pressure section consists of store for the refrigerant after the condenser while the low pressure side has a storage for solvent before the absorber and a storage for refrigerant rich liquid after it. Two values are located either side of the solvent storage, one being on the inlet line and one in the run off line. The values can be at least partially operated as control or throttling values. The store for solvent should be mounted above the absorber, while the refrigerant store is connected to the boiler via. a pump. Circuit is for use on systems where continuous refrigeration is required but the heat source is intermittent esp. with solar energy recovery systems.
