Wagon with tipping container - has extendable stay bar to permit alternative tipping angle

Load container is provided with an extendable stay bar (7) which permits a selective high or low tipping position. The container (1) rear top edge has a two armed pivot block at each corner. One pivot block arm (6) at each corner is secured to corresponding pivot blocks (8) fixed to the chassis rear end. The second pivot arms (7) are extendable and secured to corresponding pivot blocks (9) located further along the chassis. Tipping follows by means of a hydraulic ram (10). Specifically the second pivot arms are formed as sprung telescopic tubes, whose two parts can be locked by means of a dowel peg in the closed condition. The spring becomes compressed when the high tipping position is assumed to act as a stop. The telescopic arms are length adjustable.
