The strip cable for data processing has conductors arranged next to each other in at least one plane. The conductors (3, 4) are so designed that their longitudinal changes in a number of flexible bands are converted into a number of flexible torsions matching the tensile and bending characteristics of the cable insulation (5). Pref. the conductors contain spring elements which may be in the form of corrugated members. Alternately they may be zig-zag, or meander shaped. The spring elements may consist of spring rods forming edges of a rectangle. Such rectangles are then arranged in the longitudinal direction of the cable and are interconnected by linear connecting rods.
