Upper seat belt anchor point - has movable fitting bolted to inside surface of car side wall and swingable through 90 degrees

The fitting carrying the eyelet for the seat belt shoulder strap is bolted to the inner surface of car side wall. The fitting has an arm swingable through 90 deg. The fulcrum of the arm is fitted below the bottom window edge. A near-horizontal position corresponds to the condition when the seat belt is in use. The arm is provided with a spiral spring arranged to assist the movement of the arm towards the upward condition. A pin operating in a circular slot on the arm provides self locking action when the arm is swung down into the "not in use" position.
