Motor vehicle polarised and non-polarised headlight unit - has polariser and filter generating scattered light for near field illumination

The motor vehicle headlight unit has a light source at the focal point of a parabolic mirror. An interference polariser is fitted into optical path of the reflected light. The system has also an absorption polarising filter. A cylindrical collection lens is fitted in the path of the light reflected by the parabolic mirror. This arrangement generates the scattered light for illuminating the foreground and near field. This light distribution is ensured by mirror system inclined relative to the interference polariser.
