Suction fan for removing silage from silo - has axial inlet and tangential discharge ducts at diametrically opposed positions on casing

The suction fan is used to remove silage from a silo. The circular fan housing (2) has an axial inlet (1) which is located on the centre line, midway between shaft centre (5) and outside edge. A tapered inlet duct (3) connects the fan with an adjustable suction tube. The fan has a radial discharge duct (6) which has a tangential location on the circular fan housing (2). The discharge duct connection is on the same centre line on the fan housing as the inlet port (2), but diametrically opposite.
