The present invention relates to a method for applying strips of plastic material to a web of coated material and to a device for its execution. /P P A ply of plastic 32 is driven between two rollers 31 and 34. At the locations provided for the latter, strips 30 of plastic film cut from a tape 61 passing between an upper drum 53 are deposited. and a lower drum 51 rotating in the opposite direction. Heating jaws 59 drive the plastic bands 30 and a pressure roller 50, provided on the other side of the web of material 32, allows them to be applied at the desired replacement. The invention is used in packaging techniques.
