One device tends to separate the components, so as to give friction-less movement between them, and a second one opposes the action of the first, tending to pull them together. Each device can have sliding shoes (24, 25, 26, 27), and the shoes of the first and second devices can work in the same guide or in different ones. The shoes of the second device can be magnetic, incorporating a large number of permanent magnet blocks, adjustable on their mountings, while their guide is of ferromagnetic material basically free from residual magnetism. Pref. the shoes of the first device are operated pneumatically.
