The induction heating system uses a flexible square section cable (1) encased in an insulating Teflon tube (2). In the space between the conductor (1) and tube (2) circulates compressed air, or preferably water. The inductor is bent into a hairpin shape and is fitted into a pair of slots (4) in a support block (5). the heating system consisting of a series of support blocks (5) separated from each other by several millimetres. The cable (1) is run through the blocks (5) via their slots. The support blocks (5) are held in a guidance element. This element permits limited displacement of the support blocks in a direction perpendicular to the parts of the cable connected in the blocks. A pressure system is arranged between the guidance element and the support blocks (5).
