A blank of semi rigid material such as cardboard is provided with cuts and fold lines so as to provide a central band (2) and two side bands (11, 12). Flaps (5, 6 and 7, 8) are formed up carrying the side bands. The flaps are staggered with respect to one another and their lower and upper fold lines are so positioned that the flaps are locked in an inclined position between the walls of a box when the erected blank is placed in the box.
