The hoist has a vertical pillar which is carried on a horizontal base (1) fitted with wheels. The pillar is supplied with a vertical hydraulic jack (5) connected to a mobile head (13). The head has two horizontal arms (17) which carry slings, (26) under the arms. The base has a towing arm (30) and vehicles may be hoisted in the slings and lowered onto a table to release the hoist.
