The building structure has one or more outer walls formed by two or more layers (14, 18, 19) separted by an air gap (17). Ribs (16) integral with the inner layer extend towards the outer one, with bars (12) embedded in the ribs and having portions in the outer layer to secure it to the inner one. The inner layer and preferably at least one outer one are formed of cement-based material. There can be a thermal insulating layer (18) between the ribs and the outer layer, and the inner layer can have a barrier (11) impermeable to vapour on its oute rsurface, this also extending over the ribs.
