PURPOSE:To realize the quick analysis by filtering the analysis sample solution with addition of the salt-group solution containing the alkaline (earth) metal ion to the filtrate, making the sample solution pass through the active carbon layer and then the ion exchange resin layer, giving elution to the adsorbed NO2- and NO3-, and also applying the ultraviolet absorption method each. CONSTITUTION:The industrial waste water is sent to continuous filter unit 4 through pump 2 and tube 3, and the filtrate from which the precipitate is eliminated through filter drum 5 is sucked by pump 8 and then sent to sample acceptor 9. The filtrate and salt solution 11 containing the alkaline (earth) metal ion are sent via quantitative pumps 10a and 10b respectively to Y- shaped 3-way branch joint 12 and then to activated carbon column 13 after mixture. Column 13 eliminates the colored matters and the organic ion, and the outflow solution from column 13 is sent to ion exchange resin column 16 via flow path switch 14b. Then the elution is given to NO2- and NO3- adsorbed to column 16 with the eluate sent from elution tank 17, and both NO2- and NO3- are measured by cells 19a and 19b of ultraviolet ray absorption meters 20a and 20b to be recorded to recording meters 21a and 21b. The alkaline (earth) salt functions to prevent NO2- and NO3- from being adsorbed into the active carbon.
