UNSATURATED POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITION FOR PRODUCING FORMED ARTICLES WITH ONYXXLIKE PATTERN

摘要

PURPOSE:Title composition that is prepared by mixing a specific aluminum hydroxide with an unsaturated polyester resin to specify the transmittance of visible rays in the formed products, thus giving formed articles with onyx-like effect having high transparency, good color and boiling resistance. CONSTITUTION:To (A) an unsaturated polyester resin with a refractive index of 1.53-1.58 at 25 deg.C is added (B) 20-85, preferably 30-70wt% of aluminum hydroxide that ranges in particle size from 0.5-200 microns and has an average of 8-60 microns in size and a whiteness of over 92 according to photoelectric whiteness meter so that, when a formed article of 0.15mm thickness is made from the composition, the transmittance of visible rays (340-700mmu wave length zone) becomes higher than 2%.
