DIELECTRIC STRENGTH TEST UNIT FOR POWER CABLE LINE

PURPOSE:To protect the DC voltage genetating unit from rain drops and moisture, by enclosing the indoor use DC voltage generating unit with water-proof insulation sheet and blowing pressure gas in the enclosed room. CONSTITUTION:The power cable outdoor terminal box 1 and high voltage bushing 3 of the indoor DC voltage generating unit 2 are connected with the electric wire 4. The DC voltage generating unit 2 and the bushing 3 are enclosed with the water- proof insulation sheet 5 made of polyethylene and vinyl etc. to form the air-tight water-proof chamber. Insulation gas such as nitrogen is blown from the bomb 7 connected via the delivery tube 9 to the gas blow hole 6 to keep the pressure higher than atmospheric pressure. Thus, DC voltage generating unit is protected from water drops and moisture invaded from outdoor and the dielectric strength test for power calbe lines can be made safely even under raining and high moisture.
