PURPOSE:To provide a warm wind producing apparatus in use of flat heat producing member, which is designed to pass wind over the flat heat producing member in a direction substantially parallel to the electrodes, whereby it is enabled to obtain a preferable temperature distribution in the above direction and to impress voltage uniformly over a resistance member, so that reliability of operation can be improved. CONSTITUTION:A warm wind producing apparatus of this invention uses a flat heat producing member including a heater base plate 1 made of an electrically insulating material such as ceramics, electrodes 2, 2', and a resistance member 3 having a positive resistance-temperature coefficient, with is made of crystalline resin and electrically conductive powder of carbon, graphite or the like. The electrodes 2, 2' and resistance member 3 are both formed on the surface of said base plate 1. Further, a fan (not shown) is disposed such that wind is passed in direction B shown in the drawing, that is, in parallel with the length of electrodes 2, 2'. With such as arrangement, when current is passed through electrodes 2, 2', temperature distribution of the resistance member 3 in the directions of X-X' and Y-Y' as shown in the drawing can be obtained. As can be seen from the drawing, temperature distribution in the direction X-X' is very flat, so that voltage can be impressed uniformly over the resistance member 3.
