An arrangement for mounting of current conductors 14 in a gas-insulated tubular cable 16, which at the downward directed portion is provided with one or more so-called particle traps 22. The arrangement contains a support ring 10, support insulators 12, which are fixed inside the support ring and arranged in radial direction, and current conductors 14, which are fixed at the inner ends of the support insulators. The support ring is provided with a clamping element 24, which is arranged to clamp and secure the support ring along the main portion of its outer periphery against the inside of the tubular cable 16.
