The application is to the securing of a screwed lid on the pressure tight casing of encapsulated switchgear in electricity power supplies. The lid (3) screws into the casing (1). A lever (8) is hinged to the casing at a point near the edge (3a) of the lid so that it either can be moved into engagement with a recess (5) in the lid or it may be moved completely clear of the casing thus either locking or freeing the lid. In the locked position the hinged lever is in turn locked by a screw bolt (17) which turns in a thread (17a) at the top of the lever and penetrates into a blind hole (7) in the casing.
